METALLURGY from Kat Seale on Vimeo.

Kat seale is a local jewelry artist and designer. This is a video for her 2012 collection that I was invited to model for, along with another model named Tuesday. The link to her blog is here: http://katseale.tumblr.com/, which includes all of the photos of Tuesday and I that were taken during our shoot. Shooting the film was really fun, and was a unique project compared to other things I have gotten to do here as a model in Portland. The film was shot in a studio on sw 6th and Pine with a great film crew and other friends who came to help us and watch all of the fun. The event for this project was on May 3rd, 2012 at Galerie Salome during first Thursday, and the film was shown with the band Bruxa performing along side it. Because of this, the actual music that the film was edited for is not included in this video. But either way it is prettyyy rad. Enjoy!

I just had the opportunity to work with one of my favorite photographers, Rich Burroughs. Here is his Flickr: http://www.flickr.com/photos/richburroughs/. I had met him for coffee before actually working with him, and he is an extremely friendly person. (Potentially doesn't even recognize just how talented he really is, based on the conversations I have had with him.) Artists like him are ones that really inspire me. Needless to say, the shoot went great! I can't wait to work with him again.

Tis the seasonnnnnn.

Photos taken outside of Red Light on Hawthorne Boulevard last spring. A photographer stopped me on the street and wanted to photograph me for a piece, and these are some of the photographs sent back to me as a result. I just found these on my hard drive, I think this one is my favorite. Definitely.

Blogger is currently, for one reason or another, uploading photographs...sideways. I swear it's not me. I kinda like it that way though. ;)

Take me Away. Take me far, far away, where everyone is dressed like a flapper from the 1920s and walls are not fully painted like the ones you normally see in a house. Take me away where nothing is everything and everything is nothing and all that maters is what you do or say right now... not what you did -or what you said yesterday. I don't want to die I just want to fly away. That is all.

p.s. healthy is the new skinny. ask my mom. she told me.

Breaking up really fucking hurts. But sometimes, you know when you can feel the end of something reaching nearer, and then it comes, and there's nothing you can do about it but let it happen. -But it doesn't mean your love ceases to exist, or that doing it isn't hard...

"The time has come," the Walrus said,
"To talk of many things:
Of shoes--and ships--and sealing-wax--
Of cabbages--and kings--
And why the sea is boiling hot--
And whether pigs have wings...."

I will never stop loving who you are. Nothing can change that.

I was looking through an article of photographs in Another Magazine today at Stumptown. I was really inspired by this collection of Polaroids done by Helmut Newton in the 1920s. I am thinking about doing a nude Polaroid project with a similar 1920s theme. The top photo I am intrigued by the most, and I think a collection of Polaroids that combine modern elements with 1920s vogue, specifically head wear like the hat in the top photo is a good start for a new project.
