I was looking through an article of photographs in Another Magazine today at Stumptown. I was really inspired by this collection of Polaroids done by Helmut Newton in the 1920s. I am thinking about doing a nude Polaroid project with a similar 1920s theme. The top photo I am intrigued by the most, and I think a collection of Polaroids that combine modern elements with 1920s vogue, specifically head wear like the hat in the top photo is a good start for a new project.

Dream On.

A few people I have been thinking about lately were in my dream last night all at once. My boyfriend, Erin Wasson, Sierra Cassidy from Cocorosie (?) and my dog? It has to mean something right? Anyway what that reminded me of is my tattoo, which happens to be my first, one, and only tattoo, inspired by Erin Wasson. I mean I already wanted a feather, then I saw this picture and it made sense. In the modeling industry, a lot more is accepted as far has having tattoos, yet I still feel that I would be limiting myself if I got something huge, like, on my face. So this is what I got: The feather idea was inspired by the botom picture, but the actual decision to get the tattoo at all, was inspired by the concept in the above photo. Erin Wasson, already being a huge inspiration to me as a fashion and model figure, has pretty much shown me that tattoos don't have to be, you know, on your face. And they also don't have to be the size of your face. I think that's a good way to sum up the meaning of this post.

I'm really happy about how it turned out, these pictures were taken the day I got it done, but I am definitely going to have more pictures up once it's done healing. I can't wait to show it off ;)

Sun.Sun.Sun.

Today was (needless to say) absolutely amazing. The first true day of summer has finally arrived! I spent a lot of time outside in the sun. Went to H&M: here is a picture of my new blouse and sandals.

So last week (June 12th) was my 19th birthday. I can't even begin to tell you what that day meant for me. It was perfect. I spent that weekend at the rose festival with my boyfriend and got some feather extensions! The next day my family had a get together for me, and it was so amazing. I love my family. I just finished a new song, I plan on sharing my music as soon as I get more recorded, and I'm super stoked about it. Hope everyone in Portland enjoyed the sun!

It Finally Feels Like Summer In Portland.

I want to begin this blog, with the begginning. The beginning of everything. So I'll start with today. Today was awesome. I started my day with a 12oz. Americano from Tiny's and of course a toasted seseme bagel, mmmmmmmm, which leads me to the best part, my new green leather vest, and (floral pattern, beaded, button up, long-sleeved), nylon blouse that I bought at The Red Light proceeding my caffeine venture, which you can check out (the vest) on the new look I posted today on L.B.

On March 25, of 2011, I began a new chapter. I've moved, started a new job, made ammends with various important people in my life, got my first tattoo, turned nineteen, completely re-established, and re-configured (for lack of a better term) the relationship I have with my boyfriend, and wrote two new songs... all in less than three months. I love my life. I love everything and everyone in it. I love where I live, (Portland, Oregon), and I love my job. What could be a better start? The End. I also just redecorated my room and added a few new additions to my wall:

I just started reading the Chronicles of Narnia, which enspired today's look, the jeans and 1920's vest, rose necklace, (classic look). And I now remember why I fell in love with these books as a child. They are awesome and I think everyone should read them any time they need a break (like mio).
